KUDOS:Thank you to the Writers On The Edge for all their effort in putting together the FisherPoet event for the community. It was fitting because this seaport is one of the last active fishing ports on the coast still intertwined with the rest of the business of the town. The Sunday morning event kind of proved this out, as was seen by the talent and sharing from our community. —Bob Kemp, Newport, You guys can be proud of doing an incredible job putting on this event! —Jalene Case, Program Manager, Otis, Sitka Center for Art & Ecology We had a blast at FisherPoet on the Edge. Truly one of the high points in our playing career. —Julz Kasner, Burnt Woods, It's wonderful to meet a whole new community of fishermen. I'll wear my FisherPoets on the Edge t-shirt with pride! You threw a terrific party down there last weekend. It was an honor to participate. Thanks for having us and treating us so well. I want to come back next time. —Jon Broderick, Cannon Beach, Thanks for the fun weekend. Congratulations again on a great event. I'd love to come back anytime. —Moe Bowstern, Portland, featured FisherPoet. FisherPoets was a very good event, loved the number of people that came out, most of whom I've never seen. Interesting, eh, what gets them to this and not to most events, at least not in such numbers. And thank you for doing it. —Patsy Brookshire, timekeeper at FisherPoets, South Beach. Thank you for asking me to participate. It was a really good experience. —Bob Eder, Newport, emcee for the Sunday morning Open Mic & Hearty Buffet Brunch, I'm willing to come back to Newport to do ANYTHING! —Dave Densmore, Astoria, Everything was done right concerning the smoothness of the program and everyone enjoyed themselves. I was happy to see so many people related to the fishing industry connecting with each other. I enjoyed the classical guitar at the Open Mic even though it wasn't fish-related. —Joyce Gaffin, South Beach. |
